FAQ

What are the key advantages of the ACASIS 80Gbps NVMe enclosure (TB501 Max)?
  • Smart temperature-controlled fan
  • Supports up to 60W PD 3.0 reverse charging to power your laptop with zero SSD disconnections
  • Stable dual-chip design with ASPM support for low power consumption and reduced heat
  • Broad compatibility: Thunderbolt 5/4, USB4/3.2/3.0

Can’t recognize the 80Gbps NVMe SSD enclosure?
  1. Initialize a new SSD: A brand-new SSD must be initialized before it can be used.
  2. Update Thunderbolt drivers (Windows only): Ensure your Thunderbolt drivers and firmware are up to date.
  3. Check whether the device is detected:
macOS: About This Mac → System Report → Thunderbolt → Check if the enclosure appears in the device list.
Windows: Device Manager → Disk drives → Check if the SSD enclosure is listed.
  4. Use a genuine 80Gbps Thunderbolt 5 cable and try different ports. If the indicator light does not turn on, contact support for a replacement.
Why is write performance slow?

Mac Users:

Check your connection environment.

When multiple high-bandwidth devices are connected to the same computer, available bandwidth may be shared depending on the system architecture.

If your speed is unexpectedly low, try:

  1. Temporarily disconnecting other high-bandwidth peripherals.
  2. Connecting the ACASIS enclosure to another compatible port.
  3. Testing the storage device with minimal other peripherals connected.

Windows Users:

Windows defaults to the “Quick Removal” policy, which limits write performance. To achieve full 80Gbps speeds:

  1. Open Disk Management → Right-click the drive → Properties.
  2. Under the Policies tab, select “Better performance” and enable write caching.
  3. For optimal 80Gbps performance, use a PCIe 4.0×4 or PCIe 5.0×4 SSD.
